Truths for...

One book that i am currently making my way through (i say "that" because this book is pretty raw and kinda forces you to deal w/ things... and realize things... and it's uncomfortable and unpleasant at times... but in the same breath it's refreshing). Shannon cuts to the heart and dissects to the core. In her book, "Every Women's Battle" she writes some biblical truths (feel free to copy and paste the verses below to the "bible" site and check them out for yourself) that we each need to resonate to our very core and claim! (pg. 61-63).

          I Am Accepted in Christ

  • I am God's child (John 1:12).
  • I am Christ's friend (John 15:15).
  • I have been justified (Romans 5:1).
  • I am united with the Lord and one with him in spirit (1Corinthians 6:17).
  • I have been bought at a price; I belong to God (1 Corinthians 12:27).
  • I am a member of Christ's body (1 Corinthians 12:27).
  • I am a saint (Ephesians 1:1).
  • I have been adopted as God's child (Ephesians 1:5).
  • I have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:18).
  • I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins (Colossians 1:14).
  • I am complete in Christ (Colossians 2:10).

          I am Secure in Christ
  • I am free forever from condemnation (Romans 8:1-2).
  • I am assured that all things work together for good(Romans 8:28).
  • I am free from any condemning charges against me (Romans 8:33-34).
  • I cannot be separated from the love of God (Romans 8:35, 38-39).
  • I have been established, anointed, and sealed by God (2 Corinthians 1:21-22).
  • I am confident that the good work God has begun in me will be perfected (Philippians 1:6)
  • I am a citizen of heaven (Philippians 3:20).
  • I am hidden with Christ in God (Colossians3:3).
  • I have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7).
  • I can find grace and mercy to help me in time of need (Hebrew 4:16).
  • I am born of God, and the evil one cannot touch me (1 John 5:18).

          I am Significant in Christ
  • I am the salt and light of the earth (Matthew 5:13-14).
  • I am a branch of the vine, a channel of his life (John 15:1,5).
  • I have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit (John 15:16).
  • I am a personal witness of Christ (Acts 1:8).
  • I am God's temple (1 Corinthians 3:16).
  • I am a minister of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:17-20).
  • I am God's coworker (2 Corinthians 6:1).
  • I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:6).
  • I am God's workmanship (Ephesians 2:10).
  • I may approach God with freedom and confidence (Ephesians 3:12).
  • I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13).

simplistic

for a very long time i couldn't "reach" God. i knew God was in me... but it felt like there was a WALL and He could not hear me and i just could not "reach" Him. I grew up in a Christian home... went to church three times a week and went to a Christian School until the sixth grade and went to a Christian College.. and i still could not REACH GOD. Ever feel like... "that"??

Here are some applicable ways to REACH Him.

just know that God is waiting... He is waiting for you... and will listen and is listening. Move... become a threat and tell Satan to get back in the mud where he belongs. Let's be a moving generation.

a lot of events have occurred since my last post. i'm not yet ready to write about a heavy one. And God is still working on a little (but huge to us) praise... and He's still working on details!
on a lighter note... i wanted to do a simple change to my background last night... and it took me three hours to complete because, somehow, i erased all the codes and had to redo everything! that sucked! but now, i like my blog a lot better... so the "rottage" paid off in the end... like always :)

When Do We Need Revival?

As i have mentioned... a lot... there is something stirring to my very core. seriously... God is revealing to me more and more every day who i am. who He has made me to be. HE MADE ME AND KNOWS "ME"! my prayer... every day... is that He will continue to show me who i am and who i am not. that lies that i have been believing about myself or have been taught throughout my years... will be stripped away! I FEEL FREE! there is not a list anymore where i am unable to check the check's. i have held that list all my life... and i will never be THAT GIRL! I am becoming and realizing WHO I AM. is this crazy??? I want to leave a legacy. i want to be apart of a revival that is going on. there is a revolution that is happening still... do you feel it?? 2012 years ago... Jesus Christ changed history. he got rid of the check list of do's and do not's. he said to the man hanging on the cross next to him, "today, I will see you in paradise." the disciples that SOLD HIM OUT before they "got it"... Jesus came back. They saw the imprints on his palms and his feet. They DIED FOR THIS REVOLUTION! They breathed and lived this revolution out.

Lord Jesus... i get it... i get it... i get it. CONSUME ME WITH YOUR SPIRIT. Do not let me utter one word more... or one word less than you desire for me to speak. I want to be filled with your Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit fill me with Your joy, Your peace, Your self control. i want to BREATH YOU! Keep me hyped up and shine like the noon-day sun so i will leave a legacy that will exemplify YOU. In Jesus name... amen.

It's here! God is showing up.

Tomorrow night... the first Legacy Conference meeting is being held. We'll be meeting at Family Bible Church in Roosevelt Park, Muskegon, MI. Chat with your friends... it's not an exclusive meeting. Car pool!
If you feel like you're suppose to be apart of "this" but are unable to make this meeting... let's set up a time to talk! Facebook me!
Please do not hesitate to get a hold of me for further directions, information, or just to chat. Please continue to cry out to God! As a fellow friend and Legacy Lady, Lee, posted: "Friends, follow the link. Follow the link. Follow the link! Do you need revival as I do?"

puppy sitters

we're watching paisley, who is my brother and sis-in-law's doggie. she is loved. we love having her here... and can't wait to get our puppy next spring. she's peaking through the window behind the kiddos. she wanted to be outside with them so bad... but she did not like her electric fence being set up in our yard... and was equally unhappy being on her leash unable to be right next to the kids. so in the house she stayed.
she likes to sleep with each of the kids. and they all share her. tonight is merrick's night.
i do fear what will happen after she leaves. we have used her as "bait" for the kids a lot this week. "if you do not get up good for school, paisley will not sleep with you." "if you do not do etc..." hmmm... may backfire.
but... the greatest thing is realizing that we're ready for a dog! we all are... not just the kids. yay!!! crazy that this "season" is here... never thought i would see THAT day! Praying for our next family member :) who will look something like this:

The City Harmonics = Awesome Family Night Fun!

Last night we had the privilege to see these guys use their talents and bring it. Thanks City Harmonic, jq99 and community reformed church in zeeland, mi, for hosting an amazing FREEEEE concert. It was uper awesome to praise God last night w/ our kids. they loved it. merrick's favorite was "I have a Dream". Mine was "Mountaintop". Reegan was head banging and Ayla was clapping her hands and swaying. My husband loved everything. Loved hearing manifesto. So powerful.  (enjoy. fyi... this is not the concert we were at. we were actually surprised that only the first few rows were scattered and not even filled)
